Tüyap hosts Plast Eurasia for a 35th time in Istanbul this December. Production technologies, raw materials and plastics machinery will share a single venue, and ahead of opening day the organisers are stepping up their appeal to trade visitors in major European markets.
İstanbul – Plast Eurasia takes place 2-5 December 2026 at Tüyap Fair and Congress Center in Istanbul, organised by Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. in cooperation with PAGEV and with the support of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade. The event draws manufacturers, technology suppliers, producers of raw materials, distributors and buyers, who forge trading ties spanning the whole plastics sector.
“For 35 years, Plast Eurasia supports the growth and development of the industry by bringing companies and professionals together and helping turn those connections into commercial relationships,” explained İlhan Ersözlü, General Manager at Tüyap Fairs Production Inc. “This year, we want to carry that experience forward by creating focused opportunities for buyers, suppliers and technology companies to meet around the needs of today’s plastics industry.”
Outreach to European visitors accelerates
Some 3 months ahead of the opening, 90% of the fair’s floor space is already reserved. Organisers expect 80,000 domestic and overseas visitors, with the trade visitor drive focused on Germany, France, Italy, Poland, Belgium, Greece and Romania, along with North Africa and the Middle East.
For European trade professionals, December brings machinery suppliers, materials houses and other plastics firms together beneath one Istanbul roof. New business contacts are what the international visitor programme seeks, and it equally supports companies in deepening existing trade ties.
Agenda spans equipment, materials and manufacturing technology
Plastic production machinery, alongside raw materials and chemicals, forms the twin backbone of the show. Machinery solutions and next-generation manufacturing technologies also appear, with efficiency, innovation and value-added production also sitting among the themes framing the commercial agenda.
That breadth of products lets buyers and technical staff review equipment, materials and manufacturing methods in a single trip, while exhibitors show new products, technologies and sector answers to an international crowd.
Anniversary programme charts 35 years of industry change
As part of the 35th-anniversary programme, a Milestones Map will lay out, in date order, landmark moments in the fair’s past together with progress in the plastics industry. A display of vintage plastics production machinery will also show the path manufacturing technologies have taken.
At the opening ceremony, plaques go to Kontel Elektronik, Enformak Plastik Teknolojileri and Almak Ateş Makine, firms that have exhibited throughout all 35 years of the fair, in recognition of their enduring loyalty.
The Stage is Yours! gives exhibitors 30-minute speaking slots for presenting technologies, value-added products, success stories and industry answers to visitors.
Escorted access available to hosted buyers
The Hosted Buyer Guided Tour programme directs overseas purchasing delegations more swiftly to the exhibitors and product categories of greatest relevance to them. Participating buyers are offered escorted itineraries, calls at demo and event zones, admission to the Hosted Buyer Lounge and tailored assistance.
Turkish Airlines, as Official Airline of Plast Eurasia, is cutting fares on qualifying international return flights into Istanbul flown from 25 November to 12 December 2026: Economy Class tickets drop 10% and Business Class 15%.
