İstanbul Expo Center is preparing to receive the International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) once again, as the show stages its fourth edition on January 6 to 9, 2027. Organisers want more than 500 exhibiting brands to meet approximately 35,000 sector specialists from upwards of 150 countries, generating new commercial and cooperative ties between nations.
Istanbul, Türkiye: The halls of the Istanbul Fair Center (İFM) will host The International Carpet and Flooring Expo (ICFE) 2027 from January 6 to 9, 2027. Tüyap Fairs and Exhibitions Organization Inc. is the organiser, with support from the Southeastern Anatolia Carpet Exporters Association (GAHIB) and the İstanbul Carpet Exporters Association (IHIB).
Pairing Türkiye’s worldwide carpet-making power with global commerce, the event will draw manufacturers, importing and wholesale firms, chain stores and architects as well as interior designers to Istanbul.
Carpet buyers and sellers under one roof
Foreign purchasers will see what Türkiye can deliver in production capability, design expertise and geographical advantage, while exhibitors gain a way into new markets, the means to set up export links and room to build global partnerships.
Projections for ICFE 2027 point to upwards of 500 exhibitors, while approximately 35,000 visitors are forecast to come from more than 150 countries.
Exhibitors can expect to build fresh trade ties throughout the fair with professional purchasers who represent pivotal markets in carpets and floor coverings, including Germany, Italy, China, India, Belgium, the USA, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Morocco and Central Asian countries.
Geography as a commercial asset
Istanbul straddles the meeting point of Europe and Asia, and its well-equipped transport and logistics network gives ICFE added international pull.
So many direct flights serve the city that visitors from the trade can arrive easily from all over the globe, and exhibitors can reach several markets from one base.
A lighter customs bill for overseas exhibitors

To give the show a lift and widen foreign attendance, a notable regulation has been put into effect by the Directorate General of Customs, which sits within the Ministry of Trade in the Republic of Türkiye. Previously, the temporary customs duty levied under Türkiye’s customs legislation on goods that international exhibitors ship in for the fair was 100%, calculated on the FOB (Free on Board) value. That rate has now been lowered to 10%, and the cut applies to ICFE 2027 alone.
Officials from the relevant public bodies and figures from the industry worked in extensive partnership to produce the measure, which should markedly reduce what international firms pay when they bring high-value products to the show. The arrangement should also attract participation from more countries and swell the exhibition’s international trade volume.
Design talent and expertise on show
ICFE 2027 will pair its commercial business with a set of events that back innovation, sector development and the spread of know-how.
After drawing considerable interest at previous editions, Carpet Talks returns, giving the sector’s foremost figures a fresh forum to examine production, design, branding and sectoral transformation.
Original work will reach industry professionals through the Carpet Design Awards, an international showcase for innovative carpet designs. The Carpet Workshop takes a special approach, with designers of varied nationalities working side by side on production in a concept meant to inspire visitors.
Where the trade does business
Manufacturers, exporters, importers, distributors, wholesalers, chain stores, architects, interior designers, decorators and other industry professionals will be able to use ICFE 2027 as a trade platform in their search for new business opportunities.
Attendees can meet fresh suppliers, track new industry developments, sit down at B2B meetings and broaden their international business networks.
Its last edition drew 445 exhibitors and visitors numbering 31,410 from 127 countries. With that foundation, ICFE 2027 hopes to consolidate its place among the top global carpet and flooring events through wider attendance and a higher profile abroad.
