Strategic Move Strengthens Presence in China’s Pet Market

Globus Events, the organiser of Pet Fair Asia, Asia’s leading international pet show, has made a strategic investment in the China Beijing International Pet Products Exhibition, also known as China Pet Expo (CPE). The agreement was reached with Beijing Lanneret International Exhibitions, a Beijing-based organiser, on August 20th, just before the opening of the 26th edition of Pet Fair Asia in Shanghai.

Creating Synergy in China’s Pet Market

This partnership aims to leverage the combined experience and expertise of both organisers to enhance their influence in China’s pet market. The first results of this collaboration will be showcased at the China Pet Expo 2025, which will feature an upgraded concept and improved professional services. From 2026 onwards, the event will be managed by a new joint venture company established by both parties.

China Pet Expo’s Growth and Influence

11th edition of China Pet Expo held in March 2024. In Northern China it was the biggest and largest pet products exhibition. With strong significant market presence and brand recognition the expo has grown into a key sourcing platform established in 2014for the pet industry in the region. In each season of spring, the event traditionally held in Beijing continues to show a great growth potential and profitability.

Pet Fair Asia’s Leadership in the Pet Industry

Pet Fair Asia is the leading international platform for both B2B and B2C segments of the pet industry in Asia. This year, the show is set to occupy a record 300,000 square metres of exhibiting space, featuring over 2,500 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations across the pet industry. The event is expected to attract more than 100,000 professional visitors, 350,000 consumers, and influence over 3.5 million pet enthusiasts.

Pet Fair Asia’s success has led to the launch of satellite events in Beijing (Pet Fair Beijing) and Shenzhen (Pet Fair South China). In 2021, the fair expanded further with Pet Fair Southeast Asia, the only dedicated B2B international show in Southeast Asia, held annually in Bangkok.
