This advanced packaging solution features a high-barrier design with a fiber-based carton board and a transparent window. The innovative use of modified atmosphere packaging not only enhances product visibility but also maintains a low oxygen environment, which extends the shelf life of the product and reduces food waste. In addition to the RAP Sandwich Wedge, ProAmpac’s ProActive Recyclable® RP-1000 Paper Series was also recognised for its contribution to sustainable packaging. Developed for Marks & Spencer’s organic potatoes, this robust and aesthetically pleasing packaging is fully recyclable and equipped with premium sealant technology. It is designed to operate efficiently on high-speed form-fill-seal machinery and is curbside recyclable in the UK.
