LG Electronics (LG) is set to introduce its latest innovation, the LG ThinQ ON AI home hub, at IFA 2024 in Berlin, Germany, from September 6-10. This groundbreaking hub, powered by LG’s Affectionate Intelligence, aims to redefine smart home experiences with unmatched connectivity, adaptability, and personalisation.

Introducing Affectionate Intelligence for a Tailored Home Experience

The LG ThinQ ON is designed to be the central hub of a smart home ecosystem, connecting effortlessly with a wide range of appliances and Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This advanced AI home hub not only integrates seamlessly with LG’s appliances but also learns from user interactions and broader trends to personalise daily experiences. Embracing LG’s “Zero Labor Home” concept, the ThinQ ON aims to simplify smart home management, making it both intuitive and effortless for users.

    Sleek Design Meets High Performance

Featuring a compact cylindrical design and a neutral colour scheme, the ThinQ ON is crafted to blend seamlessly with any home decor. Its AI speaker enables natural conversations with LG’s voice assistant, allowing users to manage their smart home, enjoy audio content, and interact with the device effortlessly. Equipped with a powerful AI chipset, the ThinQ ON is designed to be scalable and adaptable for future technological advancements.

Conversational AI for Enhanced User Interaction

The ThinQ ON offers a unique user experience by enabling natural, conversational interactions with AI-powered appliances. This hub not only understands everyday language but also interprets contextual cues to tailor responses and actions according to user preferences. It autonomously monitors the smart home environment, notifying users when tasks are completed or issues are detected, and allows for voice-commanded adjustments and automation of appliance settings.

    Seamless Connectivity and Expandability

Certified by Matter, the ThinQ ON supports multiple network connectivity options, including Wi-Fi and Thread, ensuring a smooth setup and operation within the smart home ecosystem. It works seamlessly with a broad range of LG products and is increasingly compatible with devices from other brands. LG’s recent acquisition of the smart home platform Athom further enhances the ThinQ ON’s capabilities, with Athom’s Homey Pro hub connecting over 50,000 devices and offering around 1,000 applications for diverse product integration.

Commitment to Security with LG Shield

LG prioritises data security with the ThinQ ON, utilising LG Shield to protect user information throughout its lifecycle. This proprietary security system encrypts data and stores it securely, ensuring that modifications are conducted in a protected environment to prevent external tampering. This approach guarantees users can enjoy the benefits of LG’s AI innovations with confidence.

A Vision for the Future of Smart Homes

ThinQ ON marks a significant advance towards our goal of achieving a Zero Labor Home, stated Lyu Jae-cheol, President of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solution Company. “We are committed to making the AI Home Lifestyle accessible to all, delivering personalised comfort, care, and convenience through our Affectionate Intelligence solutions.” The hub’s advanced AI features promise to redefine home automation, providing users with a more intuitive and responsive.
