The NEOM Board of Directors has officially opened Sindalah, a new luxury travel destination and the first physical showcase of NEOM’s bold vision. Announced by His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman, Crown Prince and Chairman of the NEOM Board, Sindalah’s debut marks a major milestone in the Kingdom’s development ambitions under Saudi Vision 2030, with the island serving as a unique gateway to the Red Sea.
Transforming Vision into Reality
Sindalah’s creation involved a remarkable two-year effort, with over 30,000 workers and 60 subcontractors collaborating across four local contracting partners. This ambitious project reflects NEOM’s dedication to delivering transformative tourism experiences, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030’s goals of economic diversification and tourism growth.
Nestled just five kilometers off NEOM’s coastline in northwest Saudi Arabia, Sindalah covers 840,000 square meters and is strategically located to attract yachting and leisure visitors. Positioned 17 hours by sea from Mediterranean hotspots, it’s accessible for yacht owners from Europe, Saudi Arabia, and the GCC, effectively establishing NEOM as a premier travel destination.
A Blend of Luxury, Nature, and Innovation
Designed by the esteemed Luca Dini, a leader in yachting architecture, Sindalah combines cutting-edge design with the island’s natural beauty. With world-class amenities and architecture, Sindalah is poised to welcome up to 2,400 guests per day by 2028. This development is projected to generate approximately 3,500 jobs, driving growth in Saudi Arabia’s hospitality and tourism industries.
Nadhmi Al-Nasr, NEOM’s Chief Executive Officer, noted, “The realization of Sindalah as a luxury travel hub showcases our commitment to the Kingdom’s new era of luxury tourism. Under the visionary leadership of His Royal Highness and guided by Vision 2030, we’re unveiling the first of many world-class destinations that NEOM will offer, each bringing a glimpse into our exciting future.”

Sindalah’s surrounding waters are home to a rich marine ecosystem, including 1,100 species of fish (45 of which are unique to NEOM) and over 300 types of coral.
